It shall be the duty of the Commodore to:
(a) assume full responsibilities for all the activities of the Club;
(b) oversee all committees;
(c) ensure that the Constitution is adhered to and the By-laws are enforced;
(d) act as one of the financial signing Officers of the Club to sign cheques drawn on the funds of the Club as designated by this Constitution and Bylaws;
(e) act as the Club liaison with the Village of Harrison;
(f) preside at all meetings;
(g) prepare a written report for submission to the membership at the AGM:
(h) inform new members of their interim and/or permanent acceptance in the Club and arrange an informal meeting to officially welcome the new members to the Club and provide them with copies of the HYC Constitution and By-laws;
(i) prepare an annual budget for his area of responsibility and activity for inclusion into the overall Club annual budget;
(j) maintain a full complement of active Executive members, without allowing dual portfolio, by taking timely action, through the Executive and/or Club membership to replace any Officer or Trustee that is no longer fulfilling his/her assigned duties or has become a liability to the Club; and
(k) ensure that the objectives and directives of the Club are met.
It shall be the duty of the Immediate Past Commodore to:
(a) assist the Commodore in an advisory manner;
(b) prepare a written HM nominating report to the Executive for submission to the Membership at the AGM;
(c) arrange for a name plate of the current Commodore to be affixed to the Past Commodore’s Board prior to his scheduled changeover AGM; and
(d) ensure that the objectives of the Club are met.
