It shall be the duty of the Fleet Captain to:
A. provide a moorage plan suitable for the safe mooring for vessels of the Club and produce Fleet Captain’s marina Rules and Regulations;
B. assign moorage space; [See Schedule D - Moorage Seniority Policy.]
C. maintain a minimum 30 lineal feet assigned as transient docking for visiting Club members or members of associated Yacht Clubs;
D. confirm all vessel measurements & proof of insurance prior to allocating any moorage space;
E. recommend to Membership for approval and then enforce a maximum number of annual moorage slips;
F. enforce Club marina Rules and Regulations;
G. prepare an annual Marina budget for his areas of responsibility and activity for inclusion into the overall Club annual budget;
H. annually obtain signed waivers from all mooring Members of the Club as well as upon arrival from docking visitors;
I. prepare and present an annual report for the AGM;
J. provide an annual written inventory of all Club marina assets and provide the Rear Commodore and Treasurer with one copy each; and
K. ensure that the objectives of the Club are met.
The duties of the Trustees are:
A. to monitor all Club accounting records per Society Act of BC and report their findings to the membership at the AGM;
B. to pledge or sell Club property on the authority of the Membership;
C. to act as Trusted representatives of the General Club Membership within the Executive;
D. to attend all Executive meetings and monitor the activities of the Executive for any errors in policy or procedure as defined by the HYC Constitution and Bylaws and the Society Act of BC; and
E. to chair the Election Committee;
F. to ensure that the objectives of the Club are met.
