Harrison Yacht Club Duty Analysis

 Rear Commodore

 It shall be the duty of the Rear Commodore to:

   A. assist the Commodore and Vice Commodore in the discharge of their duties;

   B. prepare an annual budget for his area of responsibility and activity for inclusion into the overall Club annual         budget;

   C. prepare a written report for submission to the membership at the AGM;

   D. officiate in the absence of the Commodore and Vice Commodore;

   E. keep the minutes of all meetings of the Club and the Executive in a written format and mail them to all Club         members;

   F. ensure safe custody of all administrative and financial reports and records pertaining to the operation of the         Club IAW Section 11 of the Society Act of BC;

   G. update and maintain as necessary, IAW with the Society Act of BC and Privacy Laws, an accurate list of           HYC members, including: name(s), boat name and Hull I.D. Number, home address, home and busi­ness        telephone numbers, email address and membership category;

   H. act as one of the financial signing Officers of the Club to sign cheques drawn on the funds of the Club as           designated by this Constitution;

 I. promulgate all necessary notices in a timely fashion;

 

 J. promulgate all Club correspondence to the appropriate Officer(s);

 

 K. prepare and submit a membership roster of the HYC members to the Club membership at the Annual        Meeting;

 

 L. act as Secretary at all meetings of the Club; annual, general, special, emergency, and Executive;

 

 M. prepare and update Membership Package as per article 2.01.10.2; and

 

 N. ensure that the objectives of the Club are met.
