BC Government will be enacting Grey Water Regulation in 2010. All BC boaters are asked to read information located here regarding significant concerns regarding the enactment of Section 13 of the Environmental Management Act (EMA) . Boaters wishing to protect their investment and the environment, should then write to their MLA, Minister, and Premier to protest. Sample letter located here and list of five recommended addressees there. I wrote to the five suggested addressees. For your edification, here is the reply letter I received form the BC MoE, Mr. Penner. You need to add your voices to mine to get him to amend or repudiate Section 13 of the EMA.

For visitors to the web site who do not know where we are, the HYC is an integral part of the Village of Harrison Hot Springs in British Columbia, Canada. Approximately 140 HYC members enjoy the benefit of a well maintained clubhouse and first rate mooring at one of British Columbia’s most attractive resort location. By volunteering for administrative positions, maintenance positions and work parties; members of the HYC are able to enjoy a fine Yachting facility at an attractive rate. Thanks to the dedication of the HYC founding members and many of their successors, the HYC has come a long way since its humble beginning. It is well that we remember our beginnings and be grateful to the people that made it all possible.
HYC has been promoting sailing and boating on and about Harrison Lake since 1978. The HYC is located on one of the most scenic points of Harrison Lake with a panoramic view of the Village of Harrison Hot Springs, Echo Island and the surrounding lake and mountains.
